@robthestoner001 Sorry, I guess I misinterpreted your words. It seemed to me that you devalued this movie because it was sad. And yes, I've seen Star Wars, but sad feelings don't always lead to bad things. If taken the correct way, sadness and mistakes alike can lead to growth. We gather strength and a sense of living from sadness & pain. How could anyone learn if they were always happy? And yes, it is common sense for someone to want to be happy, but some people enjoy emotionally moving movies.

@90ZzZz90 Who the fuck said i was happy go lucky? you have no fucking idea you ass wipe. im glad reading the book gave you hope, but what you should probably do is let go of that important someone you lost and move on.

@jboozalis Hey! I never said this movie was bad, i said it was sad! sure sad experiences can be valuable, but im pretty sure happy experiences are more enjoyable to most people. and im pretty sure the majority of people go to see movies to enjoy themselves, not to make themselves feel depressed. and by the way, preferring to feel good then bad is not hedonistic, its common sense. feeling bad leads to bad things, haven't you ever seen star wars?
jboozalis
@robthestoner001 that's pretty hedonistic. both happy and sad experiences are valuable in life. if we were only happy, how would we know we were truly happy w/out being sad first? sad experiences make us appreciate the happy ones more. it's not a bad movie just because it can make you sad. if it is able to emotionally move someone so much, i think it's successful.

Not all of us are happy go lucky like you. Some of us have lost someone important to us. Reading the book of St. Cloud gave me hope.

What the fuck? This movie is just sad for the sake of being sad. Why would anyone want to watch a movie knowing its going to be ubber sad and probably make them burst into tears through out the movie. Why not watch a movie thats gonna make you all happy and feel good? I like feeling good alot better then i do feeling sad.
